Miriam Piper, Co-Director
Inner Healing is to bring healing to the brokenhearted and liberty to those who are oppressed according to Luke 4:18.
Miriam Piper's Bio
When I think of Inner Healing Prayer I think about the goodness of God and how He desires to heal our brokenness and wounds and to free us from strongholds that have oppressed us in our minds and emotions, even effecting our bodies.
God desires to see us whole in spirit, soul and body and to bring restoration and wholeness to our well-being. Your spiritual freedom will cause a spiritual shift to take place inside you, moving you forward to be more intimate with God and to walk in your full potential and purpose in life.
In my sessions, I use a spiritual approach to healing through prayer called “Inner Healing” along with biblical principles in a calm atmosphere. I believe we can live a life of joy, peace and hope and not merely survive.
I base Inner Healing Prayer on Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.”
After completing Missionary Training School I served 3 years as a missionary with my husband in Santiago, Chile and 6 years in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. I have a wonderful husband and an amazing son.
I have over 30 years of experience in Inner Healing Prayer alongside my husband.
I have 3 years of ministering and praying for Inner Healing under the covering of Pastor Joel Phillips of Escondido Christian Church. I’ve been the Senior Pastor’s assistant for 20 years and a member for 30 years.

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” Maya Angelou
I am passionate about human connection and the witnessing of stories. I believe that you are inherently worthy and grow towards health, if given the opportunity to be truly seen and the tools to help. Life is hard and we all need a safe place to share our stories without fear of judgment or shame. I would be grateful for the opportunity to join you on this journey.
I have experience working with women in trauma and the use of dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) in their treatment. I have spent time working with those who have experienced the death of a loved one or those who have been given a serious medical diagnosis. I also have experience working with adolescents with mood disorders and their families.
Ultimately, I use a holistic approach in looking at the mind, body and spirit to assist healing in a safe and nurturing environment.
